Brown Eyed Susan reaches 2–5 ft tall with bright yellow, daisy-like flowers from midsummer to early fall. This upright biennial thrives in full sun and medium-moisture loamy or sandy soils. It self-seeds prolifically, naturalizing in perennial borders, meadows, wild gardens, and rain gardens. Regular deadheading helps extend its vibrant bloom period.
