Hoary Vervain reaches 2–4 ft tall and blooms purple flower spikes from July to September. It thrives in full sun with dry to medium moisture in loamy or sandy soils. It provides nectar to pollinators and seeds for wildlife.
Ecological Benefits
Attracts bees and butterflies for nectar and serves as a larval host for Common Buckeye caterpillars; its seeds offer food for birds and small mammals.
