Growing up to 2 ft tall, Virginia Bluebells bloom April–May in partial to full shade. They prefer medium to medium-wet soils (clay, loam, sand) and should be spaced 12–24 inches apart. Ideal for woodland or shade gardens, they naturalize easily to create a carpet of spring color.
Ecological Benefits
Early spring blooms provide nectar and pollen for bumblebees and other early-emerging bees. Natural reseeding helps support ground-dwelling wildlife and maintains plant diversity.
